Security Zones
Security Zones were devised with the larger or multi-organization website in mind, but can assist anyone who needs multiple administrators to work on a website. Using the tool, a site can be segregated into various Zones, to which one or more administrators can be assigned.
Once assigned to a zone, an administrator can only make changes to pages or components that belong to a zone, thereby ensuring that Administrator A doesn't overwrite Administrator B's work and vice-versa. Or, use the Security Zones tool as a method for approving content before it has been published to the website by creating one zone for development, and one zone for published material.
